Elysees Cafe & Bakery is a chef-owned and operated café in Vancouver with an onsite kitchen and a dedicated pastry chef.

The focus is on freshly baked bread, pastries, espresso-based drinks and a small selection of light savoury dishes.

Here are a few highlights from my recent visit.
The Pina Colada Mousse Cake features a coconut mousse that was smooth and lightly fragrant, while the pineapple compote added a gentle contrast. The coconut dacquoise and coconut sablé breton provided structure, so the cake held its shape and texture well from start to finish.

The Pecan Tart had a caramel ganache that added richness, supported by a solid pecan filling. Candied pecans on top brought a bit of crunch. It is familiar in flavour and easy to enjoy without feeling overly sweet.

The Fried Coq Au Vin featured wine-poached fried chicken with a crisp exterior. The sweet chili glaze added mild sweetness, while mayo and pickles introduce contrast that keeps the dish feeling balanced.

The Avocado Goat Cheese Sandwich was simple and satisfying. Mixed greens and caramelized onions add freshness and softness.

The café feels welcoming and approachable, suited for a quick visit or a relaxed stop for coffee and food.
Elysees Cafe & Bakery is located at 6161 Cambie St, Vancouver, BC.
