In Search of Christmas Spirit – A Live Christmas Story

Starting from Banff Avenue Square, In Search of Christmas Spirit, is a free outdoor lighting trail presented by Banff & Lake Louise Tourism.

The experience follows Banff mountain wildlife on an excited journey through sparkling illuminated trees.

Beautiful lantern versions of woodland creatures tell the story of the cherished healing and restorative powers of this land.

Tickets are free, but must be reserved in advance. Time slots are limited. You will need 45-minutes to complete the story journey – an easy walk through a live Christmas story told by the illuminated wildlife of Banff National Park.

Banff Gondola Mountaintop Christmas

Head to Banff Gondola’s Mountaintop Christmas to experience the Christmas spirit in the majestic Rocky Mountains.

Santa will be there at his very own toy workshop for socially distanced visits, and there are craft stations and Christmas treats for the whole family.

The experience is included in the Banff Gondola admission. Kids go free before noon every day with a paying adult.

Banff Hot Chocolate Trail

The Banff and Lake Louise Hot Chocolate Trail is a unique and festive way to tour the downtown winter wonderland.

There are eight cafes and restaurants offering unique spins on the famous winter-loving drink.

Horse Drawn Sleigh at Warner Stables

Glide through the majestic Canadian Rockies, cozied up under a wool blanket in a charming horse-drawn sleigh.

Hear the tinkling of sleigh bells, listen to stories from your guide, and soak in the spectacular views of the valley and surrounding mountains.
