Zoominescence Festival of Light

Zoominescence is back at the Edmonton Valley Zoo, and it is doing Canada’s Festival City proud. Spectacular exhibitions of artistic light installations are going up all throughout the zoo, which is open only for Zoominescence this holiday season. Come hang out with the animals, grab some hot cocoa, and even go skating.

Date: November 27, 2020 – January 3, 2021, join us Thursdays through Sundays with additional days on December 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30.

Glow Gardens @ Edmonton Expo Centre

Edmonton’s largest indoor Christmas festival, Glow Edmonton, comes to life again this year, with lights, refreshments, interactive exhibits and live music.

Stop and shop at the Christmas Market featuring handmade and locally sourced gifts and take the kids to a visit with Santa before enjoying live indoor music from local artists.

Fort Saskatchewan’s Enchanted Forest

Fort Saskatchewan hosts a community Christmas tree event, Enchanted Forest, every year to showcase local business and community organizations.

Sites throughout the city display unique, fun Christmas trees themed for the company or group they represent. Admission is free to the public buildings that show the trees.

Edmonton Christmas Market

The Edmonton Christmas Market will be held at the historic Army + Navy building in Old Strathcona this year. This year’s event will feature a combination of online, in person, and free programming with holiday shops featuring gifts from local artists, workshops and tastings.

Winter Whyte Light Up

Check out Winter Whyte Light Up now on until December 24. Edmonton’s historic Old Strathcona district lights up this year with festive holiday lights, local shops and vendors.

The nearby gazebo and McIntyre Park are lit up this year, and events feature interactive competitions, and a special appearance from Mrs. Claus in drag! Tickets are free, but must be reserved in advance.
