Floral spring cocktail recipes for Mother’s Day

One of their favorite ways to show Mom – or any mother figure in their lives – their appreciation on Mother’s Day is with a hand-made bouquet of floral aromas in the form of a craft cocktail.

Two cocktails from Michelin-approved Miami hotspot Doya are perfect for celebrating the special women in our lives who deserve a little extra love and appreciation.

Whether you’re treating your own mom, a mother figure, or your wife, or simply indulging in a well-deserved drink yourself, these recipes will be the gift that keeps on giving.

Adora Doya

Created by Doya’s Beverage Manager Anthony Medina just for Mother’s Day, this spritz-like sipper is made with Hendrick’s gin infused with fresh berries and mint, mixed with London essence grapefruit & rosemary, and topped off with refreshing tonic water.

Guests can indulge in this delightful drink when they visit this May 14th.

Ingredients:

  • .75 oz Hendrick’s gin infused with strawberries and raspberries
  • 1.5 oz London Essence White Peach and Jasmine
  • Top with prosecco

Directions:

For berry-infused Hendrick’s gin: in a large container with a spout, combine strawberries and raspberries, and a sprig of mint leaves with the gin and store in the refrigerator for two to three weeks, stirring the mixture every few days.

When it has achieved the flavor you’d like, strain to remove the berries and leaves so that only the liquid remains. Transfer to a lidded pourable container to easily use at your bar.

For the cocktail: Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and serve in a wine glass with ice. Garnish with edible flowers.

Rosita

A fine substitute for a bouquet, Rosita is a zesty mix of tequila, mezcal, and Aperol with passion fruit puree, lemon juice and grapefruit liquor, and a kick of habanero tincture.
