Villeroy & Boch’s Amazonia collection imaginatively showcases lush green leaves, exotic flowers, fluttering butterflies and hummingbirds on high-quality bone china.
Differences in colour brightness take on an almost three-dimensional appearance, inspiring a joyous thrill of discovery.
With imaginative decoration and gorgeous colours with detailed gold edging, modern elegance, tasteful designs with ultra-thin ceramics, the wonderful world of orchids and butterflies perfectly complements the butterflies of Four Seasons Hotel Beijing, combining to crate an ingenious and artistic Amazon-themed afternoon tea.
Four savoury dishes are presented on the upper layer of the delicate and elegant double-layered dessert plate: cucumber cheese sandwich with fresh and delicious fresh mint jelly; coconut milk gel, tender and delicious; Italian zucchini rolls mixed with basil pesto, decorated with pearl vinegar balls.
Upon bursting in the mouth, the aftertaste lingers on the tastebuds.
On the lower layer are four exquisite and well-arranged desserts.
Green tea souffléta is paired with sweet and sour cherries, and the chocolate seven-star ladybug sitting and lying on it seems to be looking for and exploring in the Amazon forest.
The mango coconut mousse is fresh and sweet; jasmine grapefruit is paired with vanilla puffs, the floral and fruity aroma spreads in the mouth; while the vanilla cream is paired with walnut madeleines, topped with raspberries.
The three-dimensional butterflies of Four Seasons Hotel Beijing combine elegantly with Villeroy & Boch’s Amazonia series as the Hotel’s chefs bring out the features of the Amazonia tableware with exquisite details and vivid colours, as if exploring the unique beauty of nature in the jungle.
At the same time, the Amazon-themed afternoon tea also includes original and raisin-flavuored scones, served with cream, pineapple mango jam, and grapefruit red berry jam, along with a selection of fresh-cut fruits, coffee, and tea, all carefully matched with Amazonia series tableware.
The set also includes two summer-flavoured special drinks for guests to enjoy the refreshing coolness of the tropics.
Guests can also step into the outdoor garden adjacent to the Liangma River to immerse in the harmony of nature and soul.
From June 10 to September 15, 2023, guests can enjoy the Amazon-themed afternoon tea at the Opus Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing.
The set is priced at CNY 388 for one guest, CNY 668 for two guests, and CNY 1988 for two guests, inclusive of champagne and caviar. Prices are subject to 15 percent service charge.
