On our trip to Los Angeles, we visited the grounds around the Griffith Observatory to take in the spectacular views of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Sign.

Griffith Park is open from 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. every day of the year. Griffith Observatory is open from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. On Tuesdays, the planetarium is closed. To avoid crowds, visit Griffith Park and the Griffith Observatory in the week in the mornings (or early afternoons for the observatory).
