We visited Magical Bridge Playground in Palo Alto CA, which is known for one of the most innovative and inclusive playgrounds in the country.
Magical Bridge takes a considerate approach to address the requirements of those with cognitive and physical disabilities, autism, sensory challenges, visual and auditory impairments, the medically fragile, and our aging population.
Not merely a special needs playground, Magical Bridge Playgrounds transcend such categorization, emerging as spaces for everyone, regardless of age or ability.
As a 100% inclusive playground, you will find:
- Varied play zones meticulously designed to accommodate all individuals.
- Retreat spaces for those in need of a respite from play activities.
- Smooth and seamless pathways and surfacing for easy navigation.
- Wheelchair accessibility to a two-story playhouse, treehouse, and the summit of a slide mound.
Fully inclusive equipment include bucket swings, delightful spinning features, broad slides, a sway boat, and a ground-flush merry-go-round, ensuring that everyone can participate in the joyous experience.
It’s a beautiful space and we enjoyed our time there.
Magical Bridge Playground is located at 700 Middlefield Rd, Palo Alto, CA.
