The Black Joy Parade presented by Black Infant Health, will return to downtown Oakland California February 26, 2023 for its 6th annual event.
The largest free, family-friendly event of its kind in California celebrates the Black experience and the community’s contribution to culture.
Beyond pure positivity and celebration, guests of all backgrounds can expect to experience an authentic, unapologetically Black environment filled with live music, art, vendors of all kinds, and food.
In addition, the event will feature its signature parade, sponsor activations, games, dance, and so much more.
Black joy is more than a moment, it’s a movement! The Black Joy Parade is committed to accelerating the movement by empowering people to create their own Black joy – the feeling, the energy, and the love that we all deserve to experience.
This year’s theme, “the category is – joy” encourages a bold, dynamic, physical, and outward expression of the Black culture and community that brings us joy.
