Silver Star Summer Schedule

June 23-25 – SilverStar Bike Park Opening Weekend Celebrations

The summer season kicks off with the opening of SilverStar Bike Park that Friday; one of North America’s largest lift-accessed bike parks with a network of over 70 km of downhill, cross-country and enduro trails – built by riders for riders.

Join in the community cultural celebration officially launching the season at Silver Star on Saturday, June 24 with live music from local musicians including tribute band, The Hip Replacements, bustling patios and the Polson Park Artisan Market featuring over 20 local vendors.

Live music continues on Sunday with a free midday concert by Daniel James McFadyen after the Hike for Hospice fundraiser.

June 24 – Slay The Dragon Trail Running Race

Tremendous mountain views are given at the annual Slay the Dragon race, hosted by Bush Babes & Bros.

Runners can choose from three distances ranging from easygoing to epic (13km, 25km, 50km) and explore the best of Silver Star’s running trails.

June 25 – Hike for Hospice

The North Okanagan Hospice Society has partnered with SilverStar Mountain to host ‘Hike for Hospice’.

Hikers, bikers, and strollers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to collect pledges and come out for this fun outdoor event to raise funds and awareness in their community for a deserving cause.

July 8-9 – SilverStar Canada Cup DH Race / BC Cup / BC Championships

This mountain bike race will be the first stop of the 2023 Canada Cup Series, national mountain bike races, and will run alongside the BC Cup and BC Downhill Mountain Bike Provincial Championships.

Designed to provide competitive opportunities to the next generation of downhill mountain bikers transitioning from provincial race series to international competitions, this collective of events forms Canada’s premier downhill racing series.

July 15 – Juliana Bombshell Enduro Women’s Mountain Bike Race

This popular annual mountain bike race is back and will see people who identify as women push their limits, embrace their inner competitive spirit, and meet like-minded people in a multi-stage, timed event utilizing Silver Star’s expansive cross-country and downhill mountain bike trail networks.

August 4-6 – Crankworx Summer Series Canada: SilverStar

The second stop of Crankworx Summer Series Canada brings some of the world’s best riders to SilverStar Bike Park for three days of racing and events over five signature Crankworx competitions: Air DH, Dual Slalom, Pump Track, FMB Silver-Level Women’s Slopestyle, and FMB Gold-Level Men’s Slopestyle.

Scheduled just a week after Crankworx Whistler and with over $30,000 in cash, prizing and giveaways, many top world tour pros are expected to compete at this stop of the Summer Series.

All events at this family-friendly weekend are free for spectators (lift access not included) and Silver Star Village will crank it up with gear demos, sampling, and Vendor Expo as well as live music, games, outdoor bars and BBQs.

August 10 – 13 – Silver Star Wine Festival

The annual Wine Festival brings together some of the region’s most renowned winemakers to celebrate food and wine in Silver Star.

The Wine Festival is devoted exclusively to British Columbia wineries and is a fun way for all levels of wine enthusiasts to learn about the amazing wines made in this province, while enjoying a unique mountain setting.

Savour summer and sip something new at the reimagined Silver Star Wine Festival, featuring a variety of events including Wine Seminars, Wine Dinners, and the Signature Walk-Around Tasting taking place outdoors on Saturday, August 12.

The weekend will also feature live music and a Polson Park Market Artisan Market pop-up featuring local vendors.

September 9 – Silver Star Beer & Cider Fest

After a hugely successful inaugural event last year, kick off Oktoberfest season with Silver Star’s Craft Beer & Cider Fest.

Indulge in a celebration of the finest craft beer and extensive local cidery options with tastings poured in the mountain village.

Sample a variety of foods and flavours that capture the spirit of the fall season while squeezing in those last days of summer fun on the trails and in the bike park.

Adventure In Bc’s Undiscovered Summer Mountain Destination

One of BC’s hidden gems, Silver Star’s vibrant mountain village is on the doorstep of Vernon’s buzzy lakeside life and the Okanagan’s bounty of celebrated wineries, farms and orchards.
