Presidio Tunnel Tops, San Francisco Urban Oasis [My Experience]

The Presidio Tunnel Tops is a free, public attraction that we very much enjoyed on our visit to San Francisco.

This urban space was 20 years in the making and opened to public on July 17th 2022 in San Francisco’s beautiful Presidio area. The area features 14 acres of fresh national parkland sitting atop the Presidio Parkway highway tunnel.

We enjoyed walking along paths with breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the bustling city skyline. There were also lovely gardens, spots for picnics, a nature play area for the kids, and a welcoming plaza offering food and visitor services.

From scenic overlooks to tranquil gardens that invite moments of serenity, we noticed that every element has been thoughtfully curated.
