If you haven’t been to Las Vegas in a while, you may recall the property being known as the Stratosphere, Casino, Hotel & Tower. In 2017, Golden Entertainment took ownership and reinvented the iconic property.

The hotel is located on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip and right by the 80-foot-tall gateway arches marking travelers’ official arrival into the city of Las Vegas.

SkyPod

The tower at The STRAT is the centerpiece of the hotel, rising 1,149 feet into the sky. This makes it the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States and one of the tallest in the world.

The SkyPod, located at the top of the iconic tower, is the Observation Deck where visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the surrounding area. The observation deck offers both indoor and outdoor viewing areas, with telescopes available for an even closer look.

You’ll also find a number of adrenaline pumping attractions like the SkyJump, a bungee-jumping experience that sends thrill-seekers plummeting from the top of the tower at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. There’s also the Insanity ride, which spins riders at a 70-degree angle over the edge of the tower, and the X-Scream ride, which propels riders over the edge of the tower and back again.

Top of the World

There’s also Top of the World – the famous revolving restaurant located in the SkyPod. This restaurant offers unparalleled views of the city as the restaurant revolves 360 degrees every 80 minutes.

This restaurant is known for their steaks and seafood complemented by fresh, seasonal ingredients. As a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence winner for over 20 years, their wine list is also worth checking out.

They offer chilled seafood (like oysters and shrimp cocktail); starters (like wild mushroom ravioli and calamari “fries”); soups and salad (like lobster bisque and chopped caesar salad); steaks (like 18 oz bone-in dry aged prime New York); seafood (like roasted diver scallops and whole lobster mac and cheese) and more.

Chapel in the Clouds

The STRAT’s Chapel in the Clouds is the only wedding venue in Las Vegas located 800 feet high above the Las Vegas Valley with magnificent views. Their two chapels are located on SkyPod Level 103 for traditional ceremonies with a view. Wedding options include indoor and outdoor observation deck weddings on Levels 108 and 109, private balcony weddings with a view on Level 112 and thrill ride weddings.
